Each year on November 8, we celebrate National STEM/STEAM Day, a reminder of how Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math shape the world around us and how important it is to ensure every student, regardless of background, has access to these opportunities.
At JerseySTEM, we believe STEM is more than a subject, it’s a mindset. It teaches problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, all essential skills that prepare students for the future. Yet, many girls, especially those from underrepresented communities still lack access to meaningful STEM learning experiences.
That’s why our volunteers, mentors, and partners come together every week to bring hands-on, engaging STEM programs to middle-school girls across New Jersey. Through coding, robotics, and engineering projects, our students aren’t just learning concepts, they’re discovering confidence, leadership, and the power to innovate.
This STEM Day, we celebrate the educators, mentors, and sponsors who make it possible for young minds to explore, question, and create. Most importantly, we celebrate the girls who remind us every day that the future of STEM is bright and diverse.
Join us in empowering the next generation of innovators. Whether you volunteer as a Program Instructor, mentor, or sponsor, your support helps ensure that every girl has the chance to dream big and build the skills to achieve it.
