As a Program Instructor, I had the privilege of seeing the students and myself grow in ways I didn't expect. I found fulfillment in their newfound passions for coding and it reminded me of why I wanted to pursue the field in the first place. I looked forward to teaching and learning each lesson and am extremely thankful for the opportunities JerseySTEM has given to me.

Teaching robotics with JerseySTEM was a very fun and meaningful experience. Guiding middle school students through hands-on projects not only strengthened my own skills but also reminded me how important it is to encourage more girls to see themselves in STEM.

Being a Coding Program Instructor is such a rewarding experience. Growing up, I felt like Computer Science and STEM were boring and intimidating. Having the opportunity to flip that narrative for middle school girls is incredible. I love showing them that STEM can be fun, creative, and engaging, and more importantly, that they can excel in it. Teaching them, watching their excitement as they brainstorm and collaborate, and seeing where their creativity takes their projects is truly fulfilling.
